Title: Untitled

Year: 2020

Size: 14X40X30 cm

Technique: Mixed technique, treated readymade, front of linen fabric with oil paint.

Description: In this work, I examined the object during my master's degree in Salama—an acoustic guitar as an object in space, with power relations between the work and the viewer. The piece is coated in oil paint on linen and gray industrial paint on the guitar body. The guitar's functionality is nullified, transforming it into a kind of sculpture in a gray-brown hue, depicting a gray identity. The sculpture subtly references a group of people in our society.

I am excited to participate in the new venture, the fruit of Tolman's collaboration with the Fresh Paint art and design fair. This project is designed to naturally and seamlessly connect design and art
